Gucci eyewear autumn/winter: retro inpirations with contemporary touches and the Web Ribbon collection
-

For Autumn/Winter 2013/2014 Gucci eyewear captures the cold yet sensual beauty of the unequivocally feminine woman.

The refined charm of the new Gucci GG 4249/s sunglasses is featured by retro inspirations with contemporary touches and volumes with pure, clean lines.

The silhouette shows innovative details and materials of smooth, highly polished metal and mirror flash lenses.

The sophisticated colour range is the dark ruthenium metal with black mirrored lenses, gloss black with dark grey lenses, gold with gold mirrored lenses and green with green mirrored lenses: they perfectly highlight the eyes.

Gucci presents the new Autumn/Winter 2013/2014 sunglasses for men with classic distinction and contemporary notes: this Gucci eyewear collection perfectly reflects the fascinating combination of casual elegance and metropolitan spirit of the House’s ready to wear collection.

The aviator model Gucci GG 1058/s is dedicated to the modern gentleman, with its sophisticated and masculine feel. This is highlighted by unique stylistic touches, such as a gorgeous interplay of gloss and matte materials, the ultra-slim metal temples and the brand’s iconic, discreetly engraved logo.

The sunglasses in Optyl, a registered trademark for an ultra-lightweight plastic material, come in shades of matte black, semi-matte brown, dark havana and blue with chocolate-brown metal temples, as well as dark havana and gloss black with ruthenium temples.

Gucci is pleased to introduce a new eyewear collection for Autumn/Winter 2013/2014 featuring the web stripe detail on the temples.
The web stripe is one of the House’s most iconic motifs and it is reinterpreted today as a gros-grain detail that embellish this new capsule collection.

The ribbon, in green-red-green and blue-red-blue, has its roots in the art of horse-riding, which has always been an endless source of inspiration for Gucci.

The web stripe, initially used on luggage, originates from the girth strap used to fix the saddle onto a horse. Since then it has been showcased in countless ways, in a variety of colours, materials and sizes, and has become a distinctive motif of the Gucci collections, perfectly reflecting the House’s historic heritage.

The Web Ribbon range reflects Gucci’s traditions with a contemporary and sophisticated twist. The sunglasses and eyeglasses, available in metal versions or in Optyl, are decorated with the web stripe detail on the temples, fixed externally by a gold-coloured metallic “GG Britt” logo and internally by a metal plaque bearing the brands engraved trademark like the Gucci GG 4242/s.

The collection includes four pairs of sunglasses and three eyeglasses, as well as three special Asian fit sunglasses and two Asian fit eyeglasses.

The new web ribbon models come in a variety of shapes, such as round, square or rectangular, and in a variety of colours, such as havana, white, red, blue and black like the style Gucci GG 3644/s.

As part of a worldwide eco-friendly program designed to gradually reduce the company’s impact on the environment, Gucci sunglasses feature 100% recyclable packaging with FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) Certified paper.

The unique foldable cases minimizes stock space, limiting both the weight and amount of shipments and in turn helping to reduce CO2 emissions.
