Finding future in the past: Silhouette Futura 2014 edition

Finding future in the past: Silhouette Futura 2014 edition
-

Sometimes future is just too far ahead: hard to imagine. Some other times we can just see the past, going “back to the future”, to find where innovation comes from.

Ladies and Gentlemen, get ready to face this third millenium with the Silhouette Futura.

These exciting sunglasses were a revolutionary cult during the Seventies, loved from pop stars, actors and celebrities. Elton John wore them during a concert in 1974 and if we think now that they are still too futuristic, let’s imagine how extravagant they were considered at the time. Surely difficult to wear them with nonchalance and highly-priced, but irrresistible for those who wanted to see the future more closely.

Futura lived a second birth in 2004 with a new interpretation of the model, but that’s in 2014 that this fashion icon completes it’s revolution.

The Anniversary Collection 2014 combines technology and tradition, as they are made of A SPX+ polymer special composite developed by Silhouette that guarantees lightness and comfort. Actually, they perfectly mold themselves to the wearer’s head thanks to their flexible temples and an innovative and invisible nose pad system.

The rimless design and premium Silhouette lenses complete the quality of these glasses, for a perfect sun protection and a pleasant wearing.

The face of the Futura 2014 remake campaign is Tali Lennox, who get from her mother style and love for eclecticism. As she said, wearing different frames allows to look at life differently, so maybe it worths to try!

Behind the camera there is the famous photographer Peter Lindberg, who was able to take the best from Tali’s beauty and Futura’s design.

The 2014 remake comes in three colour combinations.

The Silhouette FUTURA (6051) has yellow temples and black lenses: trendy and futuristic.

The Silhouette FUTURA (6050) comes with black temples and a silverly mirror coating on the lenses. Minimalist and futuristic, they bring our immagination outer in space.

Last but not the least, the third combination Silhouette FUTURA (6052) has white temples and a bronze-hued mirror coating on the lenses: rock and fashionable at the same time.
