Dolce & Gabbana Almond Flowers collection

The new Dolce & Gabbana eyewear collection draws inspiration from Sicily and its cultural heritage. The hellenic classicism and sensuality of the Island are reflected on this season’s most romantic capsule collection.

The frames are a bouquet of small almond flowers, characterized by a vintage though refined touch, giving a very feminine and elegant essence to every single look.

For the models Dolce & Gabbana ALMOND FLOWERS DG 4230 and Dolce & Gabbana ALMOND FLOWERS DG 4230M the flowers have been produced with a very fine and scrupulous craftsmanship that makes them look like real. Each detail has been painted and positioned manually as well as the gilded leaves along the front part and temples. The brand’s logo is sober adding elegance and uniqueness to each frame. These two models are only available in black as the black coating that has been applied on them enhances the impressive colouring of each petal.

The collection also includes two other sunglasses and an optical frame on which the flower patterns are printed on the frames recalling the colour combinations already proposed on the catwalks.

The Dolce & Gabbana ALMOND FLOWERS DG 4236 is a cat-eye frame. Its edges have been smoothened and the model appears lighter due to the almond-flower pattern, main theme of the Dolce & Gabbana Spring/Summer collection. The blossomed branches are typical of the Sicilian spring and they are presented in three versions: almond flowers on a black background and grey shaded lenses; white with brown shaded lenses and red with grey shaded lenses.

For the Dolce & Gabbana ALMOND FLOWERS DG 4231 the flowers blossom on a square, oversize frame, evoking Fellini’s typical dreamlike woman. The versions go from almond flowers on black with grey shaded lenses; white with light brown gold mirror lenses; red with grey shaded lenses.

The romantic floral motif has also contaminated the optical Dolce & Gabbana ALMOND FLOWERS DG 3203, a very feminine and sensual cat-eye frame. It is available in three exclusive colour combinations: almond flowers on black, white and all black with the floral pattern on the inside of the arms.
