Be Anartist with Etnia Barcelona

“ANARTISM is an attitude, a point of view, a certain way to see and understand the world. It has no beginning nor ending. It’s not a temporary state… but one that is here to stay!”

Etnia Barcelona is making its way through a surrealist campaign inspired by icons of the movies and of the world of art.  And it does so by rebelling through art! The Etnia Barcelona wearer is one who searches and finds, who goes beyond and, above all, who can SEE beyond. Which is exactly what Art stands for… Nobody can ever tell you what you can or cannot do!

The latest collection is fresh, innovative, sparkling, colourful, rule-breaking, bold and free. And the frames all draw inspiration from famous portraits, appearing as if they were the most normal aspect of the picture.

Carytown has been inserted in the portrait “Salvator Mundi” by Leonardo da Vinci. Mystic, retro-futuristic, minimal, the frame is irregularly rectangular and rebellious, in metal while the lenses, Barberini crystal, are one more colourful than the other:

Midtown is presented on “Boy Bitten by a Lizard” and “The Beheading of St John the Baptist” by Caravaggio, a strong scene for anyone rebel, artistic and a bit anarchic at the same time. The essence is thin, metal and round but then revolutionized by a flat top over the colourful, Barberini crystal lenses it comes in.

Bywater is the hexagonal point of view of Etnia Barcelona but reinterpreted with the right Anartist attitude. “Lady with an Ermine” by Leonardo da Vinci and “Young Woman with Unicorn” by Raphael were the perfect portraits to host it.

Each campaign becomes a unique creation in which the classical elements of the original works co-exist with the contemporary, where nothing is what it seems at first glance. This is what makes Etnia Barcelona different from everything out there. Be yourself, be different and have the courage to be a combination of anarchy and artist. Be Anartist!
