Cannes 2019: the Palm d’Otticanet for the best outfit!

Cannes 2019: the Palm d’Otticanet for the best outfit!

The most chic festival in the world is back and style is on the Croisette! Could we exempt ourselves from commenting on a parade of stars wearing wonderful glasses? Of course not and we decided that this year we will give - virtually - the Palm d’Otticanet to the star that made us dream more with his outfit and glasses!

The 72nd edition of the Cannes Film Festival has started only a few days ago and has already given us wonderful red carpets on which the most fascinating Hollywood stars have started a real style challenge.

Many are the celebs that have already arrived in Cannes, or that will arrive in the coming days, such as Brad Pitt, Leonardo di Caprio, Penelope Cruz, Selena Gomez, Elle Fanning, Julienne Moore, Amber Heard, Monica Bellucci, Elton John, Bella Hadid but also the directors Alessandro Inarritu, Quentin Tarantino, Pedro Almodovar and many others. Each of them has already left their mark in this edition and our jury composed by the Otticanetters team has already decided the top 5 looks. Do you want to find out who is the winner we have chosen? Read our post!

First finalist is Elle Fanning: she wore a Dior Stellaire with all the grace she is in possession of.

Below you will find the Dior model she wore and two more of our proposals, the Tom Ford Heather and the Ray-Ban Square 1971.

Second and third finalists, together, past and future, are Elton John and Taron Egerton. With their enthusiasm they infected the whole crowd at the presentation of Rocketman, the biopic on the life of the singer.

Secondo e terzo finalisti, insieme, passato e futuro, sono Elton John e Taron Egerton. Con il loro entusiasmo hanno contagiato tutta la folla alla presentazione di Rocketman, il biopic sulla vita del cantante.

Sir Elton wears the inevitable Gucci, a brand that is sponsor of his tour. Here are his glasses, in white, and two other proposals from the italian maison.

Taron, instead, wears a metal model with fine temples, characterized by a single bridge.

Here are our suggestions: the Armani Frames of Life, the Givenchy 7127 and the Etnia Barcelona Hoboken Sun.

Fourth finalist: Amber Heard. The wonderful ex-wife of Johnny Depp has bewitched the paparazzi with her red carpet look, but even with her traveling outfit she made the public fall in love.

Here she wears a pair of large round glasses with red lenses. Colored lenses are the most popular, we talked about it here.

We recommend a pair of Oliver Peoples The Row After Midnight, the Dolce & Gabbana Logo Plaque and the Valentino Va 2010b.

Last finalist: Tilda Swinton, the actress who best represents the concept of androgyny in the world. She came to Cannes to present the film The dead don’t die together with Selena Gomez, Bill Murray, Chloe Sevigny and Adam Driver.

The innate class, her elegant bearing, her neutral features make her almost alien.

Look at her here, super blonde and wonderful in her ultra-bright outfit. Her glasses? CHANEL, like all the real divas.

Here it is the Pilot model worn by Tilda and our proposals: the Tom Ford Dylan 02, the Cazal 9081 and the Dolce&Gabbana Gros Grain 2223.

And the Palma d’Otticanet goes to...
